Impeaching Bush and Cheney

Impeach Bush and Cheney, by all means. The Democrats have a majority in the House of Representatives, so they could impeach them any time they decide.

It takes two thirds in the Senate to remove Bush and Cheney from office and the Democrats do not have that. They would need about one third of the Republicans to go along.

So, removing Bush and Cheney is a decision that the Senate Republicans will have to make. Oddly enough, it appears to be in the Republican Senators’ interest to remove Bush and Cheney. Do they understand that?

We have a choice: we can be silent and let Bush escalate his war in Iraq, start a new war with Iran, serve out his term, and then enjoy a comfortable retirement on the ranch with a $500 million presidential library. Or we can impeach the man, bring him to justice, and take back our democracy.

The only thing preventing this is our collective willingness to pretend we can’t. Because with the Democrats now in control of Congress we already have the votes necessary to do it. Dozens of representatives have publicly stated their support for the idea. So why isn’t it happening? Because Nancy Pelosi has decreed that it’s “a waste of time” and “off the table”

Well, with all due respect, Speaker Pelosi, for tens of millions of us impeachment is not a waste of time.

Since letters and petitions don’t seem to be working, a growing number of us feel that something more dramatic is necessary. We are putting out a call for a MASSIVE NATIONWIDE IMPEACHMENT MARCH ON WASHINGTON to demand that Bush be brought to justice NOW.

We need your help. We’re not an organization, with an office and a staff. We’re a growing underground network of people who are ready to make this happen. The internet is our tool to spread the word, find each other, and come together to plan.
