Was Obama Justified in His Response to Bush?

Bush was right and Obama failed to impress with his heated response.

Talking with nasty people is ok if and only if, both sides have an important objective in common. Then talking may focus on compromising on the differences for the sake of achieving the common objective.

If Obama plans to talk to Ahmadinejad or other loonies like that, it would be necessary for Obama to define what objectives are shared by the two parties.

Can anyone think of any objectives that the United States shares with Ahmadinejad?
